On Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 Jason's Brother Doug married his beautiful Bride Lindsey in Bend, Oregon. Everything was amazing. Jason was a groomsmen along with his 3 other brothers, Codie, Gary and Todd. They looked so handsome in their tux's. I am soooo excited to have a sister-in-law. Welcome to the family Lindsey!!!

Golfing with the boys!!!
This past weekend we went up to Bend, Oregon for my brother-in-law's wedding. What a beautiful state!!! A little cold for my liking (75 degrees in August...?) On Friday all of the guys (including Colin) Went golfing so the girls (including Emma) could enjoy pedicures:) So I sent Jason with the camera to capture Colin's first 18 hole course. By the looks of the photo's he had a blast with his daddy, uncles and Papa!!!

Shots:(
Wow!!! Today was a pretty eventful day!!! It started off this morning with both of the kids well baby check ups!!! I cant believe how much Colin has grown!!! He has always been around the 25th percentile and a whopping 75th percentile for head circumference. But I guess his body is finally starting to grow into that big head of his:) He is now 32 pounds and 39 in. tall. So that puts him in the 75th percentile for height and 50th for weight. And My little Emma girl is doing awesome as well. She finally made it onto the charts for height and weight. She is 13.9 pounds and 24 inches long!!!! So she is in the 5th for weight and the 25th for height. She had to get 3 shots:( It is the saddest thing to watch. When the nurse pricks her she looks up at me with a pout lip that starts quivering followed by a LOUD scream and BIG tears. It breaks my heart. In the end we got a clean bill of health for both of them!!!

This afternoon we went over to our friends Torey and Tommy's house. They have 2 adorable boys named Jake and Austin. Austin (A.K.A. Tank) is 8 days older then Emma but weighs a whole 6 pounds more then Emma. Its sooo cute to see them side by side.
And Jakey is a fellow Wiggle's Fan. I used to think Colin was their current biggest fan but Jake is pretty obsessed as well. The saddest part of it all is how excited Torey and I are for them to come back to L.A. so we can take the kids to the concert!!!
Jason, Colin, Emma, and I ended the day with dinner at Kisho.
It is Colin's favorite place to eat!!! He LOVES the "fire show." Emma was pretty entertained as well.
Oh and Colin's Grandma got him a camera for his birthday and now Colin thinks he is a Paparazzi. He was taking pictures of EVERYONE. It was sooo funny. We went to White House Black Market so I could try to find a dress for a wedding next weekend and he was taking pictures of everyone in the store. Women would come out of the dressing rooms and he would snap a picture. He had the whole store cracking up!!! Needless to say it was a great day!!!

Old friends and good times!!!
This week has been a blast!!! One of my best friends, Courtney is in town from Washington. She has 2 beautiful girls, Avery and Adalynn. We met yesterday at another good friends house, Sophia. She has 2 boys, Lincoln and Rockwell. It was a lot of fun catching up and reminiscing about our youth!!! And then to watch our kids play together was really neat to see. Especially for Courtney and I because we have been friends since we were there age!!!
zzzz's!!!!
It finally happened... Emma slept through the night. Not just till like 4 or 5 a.m. but until Jason's alarm went off at 7!!! Of course I was up all night checking on her so I didn't get a full night sleep. But hopefully this is the beginning of a great new routine!!! I am sooo excited:)

A quick catch up...

Well... where do I start? The only way to begin is to express how blessed we truly are as a family of 4. For those of you who don't know Jason and I have been married
for 3 years. We got married on May 14, 2005. Shortly after we welcomed our little man into the world. Colin was born July 30, 2005 at 9:33 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds exactly and was 20.5 inches long. I ended up having a c-section after 2.5 hours of pushing. He was just bound and determined to stay in there I guess. Which is pretty ironic considering we had such a hard time keeping him in there!!! At 29 weeks I went into preterm labor and was hospitalized for 8 days. When my Dr. sent me home I was ordered to be on my left side for 23 hours a day. Pretty miserable!!!!!!!!!!!! But in the end it was worth it. He is our perfect little monster.

hortly after Colin 1st birthday we decided to try for #2. Before long I was pregnant. You know that little 6th sense thing that lingers in the back of you mind? Well... I just had a bad feeling from the time I saw the 2 pink lines. I was
very uneasy about the whole pregnancy. At 8 weeks I went in for a routine ultrasound a saw a little heartbeat. But it wasn't enough. Something wasn't right and I knew it. At 15 weeks I went for a normal check up only to learn we had lost the baby. It was devastating. My Dr. told me to wait 6 months before trying again and we did.
Just before Colin's second birthday I got pregnant again!!!
I was sooooo excited. And I knew everything was going to be fine. Unlike my pregnancy with Colin I was soooo sick . On Colin's actual birthday I spent the WHOLE day in urgent care on IVs. It was horrible. At 21 weeks we went for an ultrasound to determine the sex but the little stinker would not uncross its legs. So we went back at 24 weeks and at 27 weeks. Finally at 27 weeks we got the news that we were having a little girl. I could finally take the tags off all of the dresses I had bought:) My Dr. put me on moderate bed rest beginning at 26 weeks to prevent preterm labor. And at 34 weeks he released me. At 34 weeks 4 days (Superbowl Sunday) I started having contractions. They continued all night and into the following day so I went to my Dr. Jason took Colin to work with him. I got to the office and he checked me. I was 2 cm. dilated so he sent me right to the hospital. They hooked me up to the monitors and they were not picking up any contractions. I was there all morning . They were waiting for my Dr. to make his mid day rounds to check me but my nurse told me I would be going home. Well my Dr. finally made it by around 4:30. He checked me again and I was 5 cm. dilated. I was TOTALLY feeling the contractions but we couldn't detect a single one on the monitor. He ordered tributiline to stop my labor but after 3 shots I was still dilating. Because of my previous c-section he decided that was the day. So I called Jason and the family and told them to get there ASAP!!! (mind you... like 45 min. before I was going home) SO they all rushed down and we welcomed our little Emma Grace into our family on Monday Feb. 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. She weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces.
They held her up and then took her away because she was having a hard time breathing. I was sent to recovery and Jason went with Emma. Finally at 8 pm. on my way to my room they stopped by the nursery to let me take a peek at my sweet
little girl. She was in a lot of distress though. I had to stay in my room on in my bed for 8 hours. So at 3 a.m. I finally wheeled my way to the nursery to meet Emma. In the morning things took a turn for the worst and her Dr. decided to intibate her. Holy Cross was not equipped to deal with an intibated baby so she was transferred to St. Joe's. It was by far the hardest thing I have ever endured in my life. Watching them take my baby away hooked up to all of those tubes and machines broke my heart. My Dr. thankfully released me the next morning ( 3 days before he should have) so I could be by her side. The first week and a half of her life was like a roller coaster. She went from bad to worse on days 3 and 4.
Finally on Friday she started heading in the right direction. On Weds. she was taken off the ventilator and I FINALLY got to hold my little princess. It was the best feeling in the world. She was at St. Joe's in the NICU for exactly 3 weeks. She had the most amazing team of Dr. and Nurses!!! They all took such good care of not only Emma but her hysterical mother.
When we brought her home, Colin had a really hard time adjusting. He was such a trooper through the whole thing but he wasn't a fan of his sister for a few weeks. When it sunk in that she was here to stay he fell in love with her. He is such a great big brother. Today Emma is 6 months old and loves her brother. When he walks into the room her little face lights up. It is sooo precious. And the feeling is mutual. Every morning the first thing Colin says is "Mommy, where is Emma." And if she is sleeping he gives her a kiss (which usually wakes her up.)
So these days we are pretty busy. Colin takes swim lessons twice a week and is officially swimming on his own. He is such a fish. He is also taking Karate which he loves. We are working on the whole potty training thing and its not going over too well. On Sept. 2nd he starts preschool at St. Stephan's. I am really nervous. As for Emma... she is meeting all of her milestone right on schedule. She just started eating baby food and she LOVES it. For being such a little peanut she can sure eat!!! She is rolling over and beginning to sit up. We just moved her into her own room and bed and she is sleeping great. She is a very easy and happy baby. Jason is working on getting his contractors license so he can build his own company. He loves his job and he is really good at it. And I am loving every aspect of my life. I LOVE being a stay at home mommy and watching my babies grow up. I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life. I look forward to waking up every morning to those beautiful smiles and
my amazing Hubby!!!
